Finally got to see my mom!

It only took me having a baby to get my mom to come visit me. But I am so glad I finally got to see her. It's been almost 2 years since I last saw my mommy! And I sure have missed her.

We had a very nice time together and even managed to make it through the visit without fighting! I am so proud!

We did lots of eating and shopping. She spoiled my sweet little girl with lots of new clothes. It was so nice of her! She got Lizzi her Easter dress along with some Easter pj's that have bunny feet. So cute!! We also went and saw Lord of the Dance movie that was in 3D. The 3D could have been left out but it was neat to see Michael Flatley dance again. He sure is amazing!!

The last day my mom was here we went and got Indian food for the 3rd time in the 2 weeks she was here and then took her to the air port. It was sad to see her go but We will get to see her again in July!

Here's the 3 of us the morning my mom left. Too bad Lizzi didn't want to take a picture. She usually is really good about keeping her head up.

Updates!

Oh my I have neglected this poor blog!! Lets see the last time I updated Brad and I were looking into moving out of our apartment and wanting to start a family as soon as he got home. We found out in June that we were going to be having a baby. We weren't expecting it to happen so soon after he came home but I guess God had other plans for us! We were finally able to move out of our apartment in August and but a house in September. Which we love! It's been so great having our own space. And not having crazy neighbors keeping us up all hours of the night. Although we now have a beautiful baby girl Elizabeth Fae that wakes us up all hours of the night. But I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Being a mom is one of the greatest things I could ever be able to do! She's such a wonderful baby. So sweet and peaceful. She arrived at 12:50 pm on Feb 24th 2011. She was 8 lbs even and 21 inches. She is a very healthy baby and loves to be with her daddy!

Brad and I also have been very blessed to get a brand new car. We drove it off the lot with 26 miles on it. I love my new car. We got a 2011 Ford Fiesta. It's blue. And so much fun!!

Brad also got some great news the day we went to the hospital to have a baby he got offered his dream job! We have been waiting for this since he got home last year. I am so happy that he is able to start his career. And he's so happy about being in a job where he gets to help people. Not to mention it's great to say my husband is a fire fighter!

I think that pretty much sums up all that has been going on with our family. I will be so much better about it now! Especially since we now have a baby and she will keep us on out toes!

Moving!!!!

We're moving!!! Oh I cannot put into words the excitement we have about moving. We will be renting a house in Magna until we can buy it starting in August. Brad and I are thrilled to have a yard for our dogs and I have a place to put flowers. Oh and I get my bed spread I just finished... Well almost finished! 

After all the stress we've had over the last year dealing with the apartment management we are leaving without a second thought! It will be wonderful to be in our own place and to not have to share a wall with a stranger. 

And I can paint my walls something other than white! I will never again have white walls!! They are icky!!!!

Oh the joys of our own place. I truly cannot wait. I have a nice long list of how I would like to decorate and what each room will look like. I sure hope garage sales can make that image come true. We are after all on a limited budget.

What's New?!?!

Brad is back home now and it's like he never left. That is a good thing. I hear so many stories of returned soldiers that aren't the same anymore. Well mine is!!

We are trying to buy a house right now. After a little over 2 years of being in an apartment we have decided enough is enough. I am sick of sharing walls with crazy people!! Oh yes the people who I have lived next to are crazy. In the year we have been in our current apartment we have had 3 people move in and out of the apartment below us... Hmm good thing or bad thing? You tell me!

Brad is looking to start his fire fighter career. I hope he is able to get it going by this year. But he's still young so we have plenty of  time to get him going. I am starting school! Yippy I am no longer going to be a lazy bum. It'll be a struggle but I am excited to work full time and take classes.

I think that is all that is going on in our lives at the moment. Nothing too exciting from us... Just the boring married couple. 

5 Weeks Left!

After almost 4 months of being apart the time has finally come for Brad to come home. It has been a very difficult journey for us. It has truly strengthened our relationship.

Although Brad has been away since January 1st we have been very blessed and able to either email, Skype or talk on the phone everyday since I left him at the airport. It's been hard on us only taking a few min every day. I do not know how people survived this without modern technology.
